 Ingredients:

โ€“ 200 ml whole milk
โ€“ 150 g Cheddar cheese, grated
โ€“ 1 tablespoon butter
โ€“ 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
โ€“ 1/2 teaspoon mustard (optional)
โ€“ 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
โ€“ Salt and pepper to taste

1. Prepare the Roux:
โ€“ In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
โ€“ Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute until smooth.

2. Make the Sauce:
โ€“ Gradually pour in the milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
โ€“ Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.

3. Add the Cheese & Seasonings:
โ€“ Lower the heat and stir in the grated Cheddar cheese until fully melted.
โ€“ Add mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

4. Serve Hot:
โ€“ Pour over crispy fries and enjoy!

Tip: If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk to reach the desired consistency.
