Ingredients
3 salmon fillets (about 5–6 oz each)
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1½ tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade — see below)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)
Optional: lemon juice (a squeeze), chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Make Cajun Honey Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder until well combined. Set aside.
2. Season the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Lightly season with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. Sear the Salmon:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (or presentation-side down if skinless). Cook for about 4 minutes, then flip and cook another 3–4 minutes or until cooked through.
4. Add the Honey Butter:
Lower heat to medium. Spoon the Cajun honey butter mixture into the pan. As it melts, baste the salmon with the buttery sauce using a spoon. Let it simmer for about 1–2 minutes until nicely coated and glossy.
5. Serve:
Optional: Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve hot with your favorite sides.
