Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans Recipe

For the Steak Bites:
1 lb steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Mashed Potatoes:
4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ cup milk
2 tbsp butter
Salt, to taste
For the Green Beans:
1 lb green beans, trimmed
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder

Step 1: Prepare the Steak Bites
Season the bite-sized steak pieces generously with salt and pepper.
Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Once the butter is melted and hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Cook them for 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme, stirring frequently. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic becomes fragrant but not browned.
Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce until evenly coated. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the peeled and cubed potatoes to the pot and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
Drain the potatoes and transfer them back into the pot.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter and the milk. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or an electric mixer until they are smooth and creamy.
Season the mashed potatoes with salt to taste, adjusting based on preference.
Step 4: Cook the Green Beans
In a medium-sized bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, then add the seasoned green beans.
Sauté the green beans for 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly charred on the edges. Remove from heat.
Step 5: Assemble the Dish
Serve the garlic butter steak bites alongside a generous portion of mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter sauce over the steak and potatoes for an extra burst of flavor
