4-5 turkey wings (split at joints)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
1 cup chicken broth
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening, optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Season the turkey wings – Pat them dry, coat with olive oil, and rub in all the dry seasonings.
Sear (Optional for extra flavor) – In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the wings for 2-3 minutes per side.
Layer in a baking dish – Arrange wings in a deep baking dish. Add chopped onions and garlic on top.
Prepare the sauce – Mix chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and melted butter. Pour over the wings.
Bake covered – Cover tightly with foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until the meat is tender.
Thicken the sauce – (Optional) Remove some broth, mix with cornstarch, and stir back in for a thicker gravy.
Final broil – Uncover and broil for 5-10 minutes for a caramelized finish.
Serve & enjoy – Let them rest for a few minutes before serving with rice, mashed potatoes, or cornbread.
