Creamy Garlic Butter Steak with Mushroom Sauce

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

– 2 medium-sized steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 3 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
– 1 teaspoon soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
– Salt and pepper to taste

1. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steaks from the skillet and set aside.
3. Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet. Sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened.
5. Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
6. Return the steaks to the skillet, spoon the mushroom sauce over them, and cook for 1-2 minutes to warm through.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
