Ingredients:
For the steak:
2 filet mignon or ribeye steaks (about 200g each)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
For the Cajun shrimp sauce:
200g shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp smoked paprika
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
1️⃣ Season the steak: Pat dry, then season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
2️⃣ Sear to perfection: Heat olive oil in a hot pan, then sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (adjust for preferred doneness). Add butter and baste. Remove from heat and let rest.
3️⃣ Cook the shrimp: Using the same pan, melt butter and sauté the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove and set aside.
4️⃣ Prepare the sauce: Reduce heat, then add garlic, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 30 seconds before stirring in heavy cream and chicken broth. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes, then blend in the Parmesan until smooth.
5️⃣ Bring it all together: Return the shrimp to the sauce, spoon over the steak, and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!
