12 large sea scallops
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken or seafood broth
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Sear scallops for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Pour in heavy cream, broth, and Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Add lemon juice and return scallops to the pan, coating them in the sauce.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately!
