Steak Bites

Ingredients:

1 lb steak (such as sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes

2 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Season the steak bites: In a bowl, toss the steak cubes with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.

Heat the oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the steak: Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.

Add butter: In the last minute of cooking, add butter to the skillet and stir to coat the steak bites in the melted butter.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup milk or heavy cream

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Cook the potatoes: Place the potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Mash the potatoes: Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and mash until smooth.

Add milk: Gradually add milk or cream, continuing to mash until the potatoes reach your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve: Garnish with chopped chives and serve hot.

Sautéed Green Beans

Ingredients:

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Blanch the green beans: Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the green beans. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.

Sauté the green beans: In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Cook the beans: Add the green beans to the skillet and sauté for 3-5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve: Serve immediately alongside the steak bites and mashed potatoes.

Plate the steak bites alongside a generous serving of mashed potatoes and green beans. Drizzle any remaining pan juices from the steak over the top for added flavor.
