Beef and Pepper Rice Bowl

 

 

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon oil (vegetable, canola, or any high-heat cooking oil)
1 pound ground beef (or thinly sliced beef)
1 medium onion, diced
2 bell peppers, sliced into thin strips (any color)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional, but adds depth)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
Cooked rice, for serving (white, brown, or cauliflower)
Optional toppings: chopped green onions, sesame seeds, sriracha

1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
3. Stir in the diced onion and bell peppers, cooking until softened.
4. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, and sugar. Stir well and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
6. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or a drizzle of sriracha if desired.
