Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain excess grease.
Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes at the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Top with half of the cooked beef mixture. Repeat layers.
In a bowl, mix together cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the beef and potatoes in the dish.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
