Chinese Beef and Onion Stir-Fry Perfection 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

โ€“ 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
โ€“ 2 large yellow onions, sliced
โ€“ 2 cloves garlic, minced
โ€“ 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
โ€“ 2 tablespoons soy sauce
โ€“ 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
โ€“ 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
โ€“ 1 teaspoon sugar
โ€“ 1 tablespoon cornstarch
โ€“ 2 tablespoons vegetable oil ๏ธ
โ€“ 2 tablespoons water
โ€“ Optional: sliced green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

1. In a bowl, mix beef with cornstarch, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tbsp water. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Stir-fry the beef until browned, then set aside.
3. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and onions. Stir-fry until onions are soft and fragrant.
4. Return beef to the pan. Add oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and remaining soy sauce.
5. Stir-fry everything together for another 1โ€“2 minutes until well coated and glossy.
6. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles, and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Tip: For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or chili oil at the end!
