2 tbsp butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups seafood or chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
1/2 lb lump crab meat
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice

In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux. Slowly whisk in seafood broth, milk, and heavy cream until smooth.
Add Old Bay, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir in tomato paste and wine. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add shrimp and crab meat, cooking for 3-5 minutes until shrimp is pink and cooked through.
Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
Serve hot with crusty bread and enjoy!
