Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
Step 2: Cook the Beef

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef or sliced steak, season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
Sprinkle in flour and stir to create a roux.
Slowly add beef broth and heavy cream, stirring continuously.
Mix in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using).
Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 4: Combine Everything

Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted.
Add the cooked beef back to the pan and mix well.
Toss in the drained bowtie pasta, coating it with the creamy sauce.
If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
Serve warm with extra Parmesan cheese on top.
