Ingredients
1 box Pillsbury ready bake pie crust (contains 2 rolled pie crusts)
→ For the Filling
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage (optional)
1 cup pepperoni slices
1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
3 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing top crust)
Instructions
Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Roll out the dough to fit a deep-dish pie pan or a deep skillet. Layer the bottom with half of the mozzarella cheese. Add a layer of cooked ground beef, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. Pour the pizza sauce evenly over the meat and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Top with the remaining cheese and another layer of pepperoni slices. Cover with the remaining crust and brush with melted butter and garlic powder.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving
