Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops Recipe

For the Lobster:

2 lobster tails

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Scallops:

1/2 lb large sea scallops

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Prepare the Lobster:

1. Preheat your oven to broil and position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.

2. Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of the lobster tails lengthwise. Gently pull the meat upward, resting it on top of the shell for presentation.

3. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture generously over the lobster meat.

4. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil for 8–10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and slightly browned. Brush with additional butter mixture halfway through.

5. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.

Prepare the Scallops:

1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to ensure a perfect sear. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

3. Add the scallops to the pan, making sure not to overcrowd. Sear for 2–3 minutes on one side, or until golden brown.

4. Flip the scallops and add the butter and minced garlic to the pan. Sear for another 1–2 minutes, basting the scallops with the melted butter as they cook.

5. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice before removing from the heat.

To Serve:

1. Arrange the lobster tails and scallops on a platter. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the scallop pan over the seafood for extra flavor.

2. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
