1 lb ground beef
4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup beef broth
¼ cup milk (optional)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
️ ½ tsp paprika
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, for garnish

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Thinly slice the potatoes to ¼-inch thickness.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add ground beef, season, and cook until browned.
3. Grease a baking dish and layer half of the potatoes, then half of the cooked beef, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers and pour beef broth (and milk, if using) over the top.
4. Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove foil, top with Parmesan cheese, and bake uncovered for 10 more minutes until golden brown.
5. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy!
