1. Prepare the Honey Soy Glaze for Beef:

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).

Season the steaks with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time for your preferred doneness.

In the last minute of cooking, pour the honey soy glaze over the steaks, allowing the sauce to reduce and caramelize for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Remove the steaks from the skillet, and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro or green onions.

2. Prepare the Honey Soy Glaze for Shrimp:

In the same skillet, add olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly charred.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).

Pour the glaze over the shrimp and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the shrimp is well-coated.

Garnish the shrimp with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.

3. Prepare the Chive Potatoes:

Boil the baby potatoes in a large pot of salted water for about 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain the potatoes.

While the potatoes are still hot, toss them in olive oil and butter until the butter melts.

Mash the potatoes lightly with a fork or potato masher, leaving some texture.

Stir in the sour cream and chopped fresh chives. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Plate and Serve:

On a large serving platter, arrange the sliced honey soy glazed beef and the glazed shrimp together.

Add a generous serving of the chive potatoes on the side.

Garnish with extra fresh chives or cilantro, and serve with lime wedges for the shrimp.

Serve:
This Honey Soy Glazed Beef and Shrimp with Chive Potatoes is a flavorful and indulgent dish with a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors. The creamy chive potatoes provide a rich contrast to the tender beef and shrimp. A perfect dish for a special occasion or a delightful dinner. Enjoy this vibrant and comforting meal!
