1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying halloumi)
1 tablespoon hot honey (or regular honey with chili flakes)
1 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Lemon juice (optional, for extra flavor)
1 small garlic clove (optional, for rubbing on the toast)
Directions:
1. Toast the sourdough to your preferred level of crispiness. Optionally, rub with a small cut garlic clove for added flavor.
2. Mash the avocado in a bowl, seasoning with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the halloumi slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
4. Spread mashed avocado over the toasted sourdough and top with halloumi slices.
5. Drizzle hot honey over the toast and sprinkle with chili flakes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
