Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top (to allow even air circulation and crispier chicken). Lightly grease the rack with cooking spray or oil.
Prepare the Drumsticks:

Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the drumsticks for even flavor.
Bake the Drumsticks:

Arrange the drumsticks on the prepared rack, making sure they’re not touching each other.
Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
Prepare the BBQ Sauce Glaze:

While the drumsticks bake, mix barbecue sauce with olive oil and honey (if using) in a bowl.
Glaze the Drumsticks:

After 25 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven.
Brush the drumsticks generously with the BBQ sauce glaze on all sides.
Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Caramelize the Sauce:

For a sticky and slightly charred finish, switch your oven to broil.
Broil the drumsticks for 3-5 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Rest and Serve:

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side, and pair with sides like coleslaw, mashed potatoes, or cornbread.
