1. Start by preheating your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). This will be for the garlic bread.

2. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Brush both sides of the baguette slices with this garlic butter mixture. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.

3. Bake the baguette for about 5-7 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

4. While the bread is baking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and minced garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked.

5. Next, carefully pour in the 1/4 cup of vegetable broth (or a similar flavorful liquid) instead of wine. Allow it to cook for 1 minute, stirring and scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

6. Stir in the heavy cream, butter, red pepper flakes (if desired), salt, and black pepper. Cook this mixture for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens to your liking.

7. Serve the succulent shrimp scampi over your choice of rice or pasta. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a bright touch, and enjoy with your crispy garlic bread on the side.
