Ingredients:
For the Cajun Steak:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1-inch thick)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning ️
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
For the Creamy Shrimp Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
½ lb (225g) shrimp, peeled & deveined
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp Cajun seasoning ️
½ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
¼ cup chicken broth
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Season the Steaks: Pat the steaks dry and rub with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let them rest at room temperature for 15 minutes. ️
Sear the Steaks: Heat a skillet or grill pan over high heat. Cook steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or until desired doneness. Remove and let them rest.
Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce: Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze, then add heavy cream, Parmesan, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
Combine Everything: Return shrimp to the sauce and simmer for 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Serve & Enjoy: Place the steak on a plate, smother with creamy shrimp sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley. Pair with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables. ️
