โ€“ 2 steaks (your choice: ribeye, filet mignon, or strip)
โ€“ 1 tablespoon olive oil
โ€“ 1 tablespoon butter
โ€“ 1/2 cup heavy cream
โ€“ 1/4 cup chicken broth
โ€“ 2 garlic cloves, minced
โ€“ 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
โ€“ 1/2 teaspoon thyme
โ€“ 1/2 teaspoon paprika

1. Prepare the steaks: Season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the steaks. Cook them to your desired level of doneness, flipping them carefully (about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare). After cooking, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.

2. Create the shrimp sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sautรฉ for about 1 minute, letting it become fragrant but not browned. Next, add the shrimp to the skillet, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning, paprika, and thyme over the shrimp. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the creamy sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well, scraping any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan to infuse the sauce with maximum flavor. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, letting it thicken slightly.

4. Combine shrimp and sauce: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, mixing them into the creamy sauce. Let them heat through for a minute, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully.

5. Assemble the dish: On a serving plate, place the rested steak. Generously pour the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the steak, ensuring to include plenty of shrimp.
