Ingredients:

– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 tablespoon olive oil (for shrimp)
– 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
– 4 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon)
– 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (for shrimp)
– 1/2 cup heavy cream
– 1/4 cup chicken or beef broth
– Salt and black pepper to taste
– 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 2 tablespoons olive oil (for steak)
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (for sauce)
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish, or cook to your preferred doneness. Once done, transfer the steaks to a plate and let them rest to ensure they remain juicy.

2. In the same skillet, add an additional tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning over the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Once cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Stir in another teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, followed by the heavy cream, broth, and grated Parmesan cheese. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-5 minutes while stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.

4. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the sauce, allowing them to warm through for about a minute.

5. To serve, place each steak on a plate and generously top with the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for an added touch of color and flavor.
