Ingredients
1 lb (450g) sirloin steak
1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook the Steak
Season the steak with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your preferred doneness. Remove from the pan and let it rest.
2. Sauté the Shrimp
In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
3. Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the pan and set aside.
4. Make the Creamy Sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then stir in the Parmesan cheese. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Combine Everything
Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Let them heat through for another 2 minutes.
6. Serve & Enjoy
Slice the rested steak and plate it with the creamy shrimp on top. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
