Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Bowl 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)

1 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (slurry)

2 cups cooked jasmine rice

1/2 cup shredded carrots

1 tbsp sesame seeds

2 green onions, sliced

 

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.

Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the sticky sauce.

Assemble your bowl by adding rice as the base. Top with honey garlic chicken, and shredded carrots .

Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
