For the Surf and Turf:

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 lb scallops, cleaned and patted dry

1 lb ribeye steak or filet mignon, cut into bite-sized cubes

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

4 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup white wine (optional)

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lime

1 lime wedge (for serving)

Prepare the Steak Bites:

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the hot skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the steak is browned on the outside and cooked to medium-rare (adjust for desired doneness). Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp and Scallops:

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.

Season the shrimp and scallops with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside.

Add the scallops to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until golden and opaque. Remove the scallops and set aside with the shrimp.

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in the heavy cream and white wine (if using), stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Add the lemon juice and lime zest, then stir in the cooked shrimp, scallops, and steak bites, tossing to coat everything in the creamy garlic butter sauce.

Serve:

Garnish the surf and turf skillet with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and aroma.
