Ingredients
2 Ibs ground beef
2 cans del monte sloppy joe sauce (or add 1 tsp liquid smoke to your favorite brand)
1 box Texas toast Garlic bread ( thick silced no cheese)
1 1/2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 cups Shredded cobly Jack cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add the sauce: Stir in the 2 cans of Del Monte Sloppy Joe sauce (or your favorite brand with 1 tsp liquid smoke). Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and thickened slightly.
3. Prepare the toast: While the beef simmers, toast the Texas Toast Garlic Bread according to the package instructions (usually bake at 400°F for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy).
4. Assemble: Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spoon a generous amount of the sloppy joe beef mixture onto each slice.
5. Add cheese: Sprinkle a mix of mozzarella and Colby Jack cheese over the sloppy joe topping.
6. Melt cheese: Return the assembled toasts to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm. Enjoy your cheesy sloppy toasts!
