Ingredients:

1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes (with juice)

1 small onion, chopped

1–2 cloves garlic, minced

1–2 jalapeños (fresh or pickled), chopped (adjust to spice preference)

1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves

1 tablespoon lime juice (fresh is best)

Salt to taste (start with 1/2 teaspoon)

Optional: 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions:

1. Combine Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, add the canned tomatoes (with juice), onion, garlic, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, and cumin (if using).

2. Blend: Pulse until you reach your desired consistency — chunky or smooth.

3. Taste and Adjust: Add salt and adjust lime, cilantro, or jalapeños to taste.

4. Chill (Optional): Let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to let flavors meld.

5. Serve: Enjoy with tortilla chips, tacos, or grilled meats!
