One-Pan Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sausage Rice

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

✅ 1 lb smoked sausage (sliced)
✅ 1 cup uncooked white rice
✅ 1 ½ cups chicken broth
✅ ½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite!)
✅ 1 tbsp soy sauce
✅ 1 tbsp honey
✅ ½ tsp smoked paprika
✅ ½ tsp garlic powder
✅ ½ tsp onion powder
✅ 1 cup bell peppers (diced)
✅ ½ cup onion (diced)
✅ 1 tbsp olive oil
✅ Salt & pepper to taste
✅ Green onions for garnish (optional)

1️⃣ Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ In the same pan, sauté onions and bell peppers until softened.
3️⃣ Add rice, broth, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, honey, and seasonings. Stir well.
4️⃣ Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook on low for 15-18 minutes (or until rice is tender).
5️⃣ Stir in sausage, let it heat through, and fluff with a fork.
6️⃣ Garnish with green onions and serve warm!
