Beef Stir-Fry with Vegetables and Rice

For the Stir-Fry:
1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1-inch ginger, grated
1 green bell pepper, sliced
2 cups fresh spinach
1 red chili, sliced (optional, for garnish)
1/4 cup water or beef broth
For the Sauce:
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
For Serving:
2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice

Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Add the sliced beef and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and cornstarch slurry (if using). Set aside.
Stir-Fry:
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Add the marinated beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
In the same wok, add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add green bell pepper and stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly tender.
Return the beef to the wok and add the fresh spinach. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture.
Stir everything together, adding water or beef broth to adjust the sauce consistency. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.
Serve:
Serve the stir-fry over a bowl of freshly cooked rice.
Garnish with sliced red chili for a spicy kick.
