Ingredients
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic (or 1–2 garlic cloves, smashed)
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon black pepper
Optional (but amazing): 1–2 tablespoons brown sugar for extra caramelization
Instructions
1. Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl or jar.
2. Place steaks in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.
3. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they’re fully coated.
4. Marinate 2–8 hours (or overnight for maximum flavor).
5. Remove steaks from marinade, let excess drip off, and cook by grilling, searing, or broiling.
6. Rest the cooked steaks for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips for Perfect Results
Works incredibly well on ribeye, sirloin, flank, skirt, NY strip, and filet tips.
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
Use fresh lemon juice, not bottled, for the best flavor.
Don’t reuse marinade unless boiled for safety.
