Ingredients
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits (like Pillsbury Grands)
1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 large eggs
½ cup milk
1 packet (2.75 oz) sausage gravy mix (or homemade—see notes!)
2 cups water (for gravy mix)
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt & pepper
1 tbsp butter (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter.
Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
Make the Sausage Gravy: In the same skillet, whisk together gravy mix and 2 cups of water. Simmer until thickened, then stir in cooked sausage.
Assemble the Casserole: Cut biscuits into quarters and spread them in the baking dish. Pour sausage gravy over the biscuits, then sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour evenly over the casserole.
Bake to Perfection: Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the eggs are set and the biscuits are golden brown.
Serve & Enjoy: Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm!
