Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatball Subs

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
½ cup breadcrumbs
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
1 cup BBQ sauce
¼ cup bourbon
4 hoagie rolls
1 cup shredded mozzarella
2 tbsp butter, melted
½ tsp garlic powder (for brushing rolls)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a bowl, mix ground beef, bacon, breadcrumbs, cheddar, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder & paprika. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
In a saucepan, heat BBQ sauce & bourbon, simmering until thickened. Toss meatballs in sauce.
Toast hoagie rolls with butter & garlic powder.
Load up the subs with meatballs, extra sauce, & mozzarella. Broil until bubbly. Serve hot!
