4 boneless chicken thighs, cut into 1 in pieces
1 cup broccoli florets
3 tbsp cornstarch divided
3 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup bourbon
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
4 tbsp veg oil divided
Season chicken with pepper. Mix with 2 tbsp cornstarch. Put aside.
In a bowl mix together bourbon, broth, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, apple juice, ketchup, brown sugar, ginger, garlic & pepper flakes. Put aside.
Over medium heat add 2 tbsp oil and cook broccoli florets until tender, approximately 5 minutes, stirring often and put aside.
Over medium high heat add remaining oil to pan and add chicken. Cook 3 minutes on each side and remove, put aside.
Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch to 1 tbsp cold water. Put aside.
Add in bourbon sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Add chicken in and cook until sauce reduces, approximately 10-12 minutes. Add broccoli back in and stir in cornstarch slurry mixture. Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy.❤️
