Cheesesteak on Garlic Parmesan Bread

Ingredients:

For the Garlic Parmesan Bread:

4 hoagie rolls or sub buns

4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp chopped parsley

Pinch of salt

For the Cheesesteak Filling:

1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak (or shaved beef)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 slices provolone cheese (or mozzarella)

‍ Instructions:
Prep the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, and salt. Set aside.

Cook the Steak Filling:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced onion (and bell pepper, if using), and cook until soft, about 3–4 minutes.

Add the shaved steak and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Season with salt and pepper.

Toast the Bread:

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, without cutting all the way through.

Spread the garlic-parmesan butter generously on both sides.

Toast under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until golden and crisp.

Assemble:

Pile the steak mixture onto the toasted rolls.

Top with provolone slices and return to the broiler until the cheese is melty and bubbly.

Serve Hot & Gooey:

Garnish with extra parsley or Parmesan if desired.

Serve with chips, fries, or a side salad. Enjoy!
