Cheesy Loaded Pizza Lasagna

12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb ground beef or ground chicken
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cups pizza sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup halal pepperoni slices
½ cup ricotta or cottage cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a round or square baking dish and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until softened.
3. Add ground beef or chicken to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
4. Stir in the pizza sauce, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Begin layering the lasagna: Start with a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom of the dish.
6. Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles, followed by more meat sauce, shredded mozzarella, cheddar cheese, and a few pepperoni slices. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with cheese and pepperoni on top.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
