Chicken Spring Onion Stir Fry Recipe

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

300g boneless chicken (thinly sliced)

1 cup spring onions (green + white parts, chopped separately)

1 medium onion (sliced)

1 tbsp garlic (minced)

1 tsp ginger (minced)

1-2 green chilies (sliced)

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

1 tsp vinegar

1 tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

1 tsp cornflour + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

2 tbsp oil

 

Instructions:

1. Marinate chicken with a little salt, pepper, and 1 tsp soy sauce. Set aside for 15 mins.

2. Heat oil in a wok. Add sliced onion and stir-fry until translucent.

3. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.

4. Add chicken and cook on high heat until fully cooked.

5. Add the white parts of spring onions and stir-fry for 1-2 mins.

6. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), vinegar, and black pepper.

7. Add cornflour slurry to slightly thicken the sauce.

8. Toss in the green parts of spring onions at the end. Mix well.

9. Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
