Classic Homestyle Salisbury Steak with Creamy Garlic Infused Mashed Potatoes

   **Ingredients:**

   – **For the Salisbury Steak:**

– 1 1/2 pounds ground beef

– 1/3 cup breadcrumbs

– 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

– 1 egg, beaten

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 2 tablespoons ketchup

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

   – **For the Gravy:**

– 2 cups beef broth

– 1 onion, thinly sliced

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

– 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water

   – **For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:**

– 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup milk

– 2 tablespoons butter

– Salt and pepper to taste

   **Directions:**

  1. **For the Salisbury Steak:**

– In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard powder. Form into 4-6 patties.

– In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties on both sides until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

  1. **For the Gravy:**

– In the same skillet, add sliced onion and cook until soft. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a boil.

– Stir in the cornstarch mixture and simmer until thickened. Return the patties to the skillet, coat with gravy, and simmer for another 5 minutes.

  1. **For the Garlic Mashed Potatoes:**

– Boil the potatoes until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain.

– Mash the potatoes with garlic, milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
