1 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off, as preferred)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
