β 1 and 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (20g)
β 2 teaspoons instant yeast (7g)
β 1 tablespoon salt (15g)
β 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (20g)
β 5 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (680g)
Instructions:
1. Mix Ingredients:
β In a large bowl, mix warm water, olive oil, yeast, salt, and sugar.
β Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
2. Knead Dough:
β Wet your hand and knead the dough until itβs smooth.
3. First Rise:
β Cover the bowl and let the dough sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
4. Fold Dough:
β Wet your hand to prevent sticking, then stretch the sides of the dough upward and fold them towards the center. Repeat this process 3-4 times.
5. Shape Dough:
β Flip the dough so the seams are underneath and shape it into a ball.
β Cover and let it rest for 60 minutes.
6. Divide Dough:
β After 90 minutes, turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
β Divide into 4 equal pieces (about 280g each).
7. Form Balls:
β Shape each piece into a smooth ball.
β Lightly spray a baking tray with olive oil and place the dough balls on it.
β Cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let them rest for 15 minutes to relax the dough.
8. Form Pizza:
β Place a dough ball onto a floured surface and sprinkle additional flour on top.
β Flatten it into a 5-6 inch circle using your hands.
β Use your fingers to press the dough from the center outwards, leaving a 1/2 inch border to form the crust.
β Gently stretch the dough to form a 10-12 inch wide pizza.
9. Top and Bake:
β Add sauce and toppings to the dough.
β Bake in a preheated oven at 550Β°F (285Β°C) for 10-12 minutes.
