For the chicken:
4 boneless chicken thighs cut into strips
2 tbsp cornstarch plus 1 tsp
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
3 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/3 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp chili flakes
2 tbsp parsley chopped
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Mix chicken with salt, pepper and 2 tbsp cornstarch.
Mix broth, soy, rice vinegar, brown sugar and honey together plus 1 tsp cornstarch. Put aside.
Over medium high heat add oil and cook chicken approximately 4-5 minutes, flip over and cook another 2-3 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium and add in butter & garlic.
Add in broth honey mixture and allow to simmer until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked thoroughly. Add in chili flakes and parsley. Serve over the pasta recipe below.
Cheesy cavatappi:
10 oz cavatappi, cooked according to package
2 cups heavy cream
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mild cheddar
1/4 cup aged white cheddar
1/4 cup Asiago cheese
1/4 cup gruyere
1/4 cup mozzarella
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Add heavy cream and cream cheese over medium heat. Once incorporated and bubbling add in seasonings. Add in cheeses one at a time.
Add in cooked pasta and add chicken over the top! Enjoy!❤️
