Surf and Turf: Skillet Garlic Butter Steak and Shrimp
Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
2 tablespoons olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Directions:
Season the steak pieces and shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak pieces to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque.
Return the steak to the skillet. Add the fresh lemon juice, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Serve the steak and shrimp hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
