Ingredients
1 lb uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 ¼ cups white cooking wine
4 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
Juice from half a lemon
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Grated Parmesan cheese to taste
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp and set aside on a plate.
Reduce the heat to low, then add the butter to the same pan.
Once it’s melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for just 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the white cooking wine and freshly squeezed lemon juice, then let the mixture simmer until the liquid reduces by half (about 5-7 minutes).
Stir the Italian seasoning into the skillet, then add the shrimp back to the pan.
Gently toss everything together, making sure each shrimp gets coated in the garlic butter sauce.
Let it all simmer together for another minute or two.
Remove from heat and serve immediately with a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
