Loaded Potato and Meatloaf Casserole

For the meatloaf:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
For the potato layer:
4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
For the meatloaf: In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Bake the meatloaf for 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with milk, butter, and sour cream.
Spread the mashed potatoes over the partially cooked meatloaf. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onions.
Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
