Maple Glazed Bacon Cheeseburger Poutine

Ingredients:

 

1 lb frozen French fries
1 lb ground beef
1 cup cheese curds or shredded mozzarella
6 slices maple-glazed bacon, cooked and chopped
1 cup hot beef gravy
½ cup maple syrup (for glazing the bacon)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

 

Bake the French fries according to the package instructions until crispy.
While the fries bake, cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
Glaze the cooked bacon with maple syrup by brushing it on both sides and letting it caramelize for a few minutes in a hot skillet.
Assemble the poutine: place the fries on a serving platter, sprinkle cheese curds on top, and layer on the ground beef and maple-glazed bacon.
Pour hot beef gravy over the top, letting it melt the cheese slightly.
Serve immediately for a hearty, indulgent treat that hits all the sweet and savory notes!
