Ingredients:
1 lb Italian sausage
1/2 lb pepperoni slices
1 lb ground beef
24 oz marinara sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
16 oz penne pasta
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 green bell pepper, diced
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, brown Italian sausage and ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
4. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and green bell pepper to the meat mixture. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
5. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella and parmesan. Mix well.
6. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
7. Add a layer of pepperoni slices, then top with the remaining pasta mixture.
8. Finish with remaining mozzarella, parmesan, and more pepperoni on top.
9. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
