Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (with or without skin, depending on your preference)
3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped or pressed
Juice of 1 lemon (and slices for garnish)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of honey (optional, for a slight sweetness)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional, for a little spice)
A few sprigs of fresh thyme (or rosemary)
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon zest for garnish (optional)
Preparation :
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Prepare the marinade:
In a small bowl, combine the chopped garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, honey (if using), and Dijon mustard. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
Season the salmon:
Place the salmon fillets on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or lightly oiled.
Generously brush the salmon fillets with the lemon garlic marinade, making sure to coat them well.
Cooking the salmon:
Arrange a few sprigs of thyme or rosemary on the salmon fillets.
Place the salmon fillets in the preheated oven and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your liking. The salmon should be opaque and come apart easily with a fork.
Garnish and serve:
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining cooking juices. Garnish with lemon slices and a little lemon zest to add freshness.
Serve immediately with grilled vegetables, rice, or a simple green salad.
