Ingredients:
For the filling:
500g steak, thinly sliced
300g or more shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 onion, finely chopped
1 bell pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
For the bread:
1 large baguette or loaf of Italian bread
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Prepare the filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the steak until browned, then remove it from the skillet. In the same skillet, cook the shrimp, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the shrimp are pink and the vegetables are tender. Return the steak to the skillet, season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix in the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted and combined. Set aside.
Prepare the bread: Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Hollow out the bread, creating a cavity for the filling. Fill the bread with the steak and shrimp mixture, pressing it in gently.
Bake: Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
Serve: Allow the stuffed bread to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy your delicious Steak and Shrimp Stuffed Bread! Optionally, place the bread pieces you hollowed out on the side of the baking tray, drizzle with extra butter and parsley, or sprinkle with your favorite savory toppings and enjoy them alongside your meal.
