Ingredients:
2 steaks (your choice: ribeye, filet mignon, or strip)
1 tablespoon olive oil ️
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning ️
1/2 teaspoon paprika ️
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 tablespoon fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:
Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil ️ in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the steaks to your desired doneness (about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare).
Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.
Prepare the Shrimp Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the shrimp and season with Cajun seasoning ️, paprika ️, and thyme . Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque (about 3-4 minutes), then remove the shrimp and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
In the same skillet, add heavy cream and chicken broth . Stir to combine, scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan.
Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, thickening slightly.
Return the shrimp to the pan and mix well, allowing them to heat through in the creamy sauce.
Assemble the Dish:
Place the cooked steak on a plate.
Pour the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce with shrimp on top of the steak.
Garnish & Serve:
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
Enjoy!
