Sticky Honey Garlic Steak and Rotini

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

For the Steak:
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
1 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Pasta:
12 oz rotini pasta
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook rotini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with butter and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
Cook the Steak:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the steak bites with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.
Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Combine & Serve:
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss in the sauce until well coated.
Serve the steak over the buttery Parmesan rotini.
Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
